Frequently Asked Questions

These are a few of the questions we are frequently asked. Please ring or email for any further information

Where do I go when I first arrive on site?
Your keys will be available from the reception desk at the main Manor House, along with a site map to show where your cottage is located.
What time can I arrive to take over my cottage?
Cottages are available from 3pm (15.00hrs) in the afternoon, and must be vacated by 10.00am on the last morning of your stay.
Do you allow animals in the cottages?
Some cottages are designated as "Pet Friendly" but not all. Please ask about this when you contact us, and we will do our best to help.
 What about bedding, towels, etc?
All bed linen and bathroom towels are included in the price of your stay. We would ask you to bring your own towels if you want to use the pool. We also include washing-up liquid, a dishcloth, tea towel, toilet tissue and kitchen roll, plus a few sachets of tea, coffee and milk to help you settle in!
Where is the nearest railway station if I come by train?
Polegate station is closest and is about a 10 minute taxi drive away from Glyndley Manor. Polegate is also on a direct rail line from London Victoria (1 hr 20 mins) and Gatwick Airport (45 mins).
Are you in the country or by the sea?
Both! Glyndley Manor is set in its own lovely grounds and is in the heart of the beautiful East Sussex countryside. It is a well hidden oasis of peace. However, it is only 15 minutes from Eastbourne with its picturesque promenade, beach with bandstand, an attractive pier, and of course a wide variety of cafes and restaurants.
